Your details when you register

What Event Host does with the details you give when you register for an event, who sees them, and how long we keep them.

Who we are

Event Host is operated by Digital Arts and Sciences. When you register for an event on a site that uses Event Host, we collect and keep your registration on behalf of the organization hosting that event. The event’s site tells you who that is.

What we collect

What you enter when you register: your name, your email address, and the answers the event’s form asks for, such as your organization and job title, and your consent. Then what happens to your registration: whether you confirmed your email, whether you were approved, your ticket and check-in, and the emails we sent you, including whether they were delivered and opened and which links in them you followed.

Why we use it

To register you for the event and run it: confirming your email address, letting the organizer review and approve registrations, sending your ticket and event emails, and checking you in on the day. We do not use it for anything else, and we never sell it.

Who we share it with

The organization hosting the event you registered for, so that it can run the event, including on site. We do not share it with anyone else, except the providers we run Event Host on (Microsoft Azure, for hosting and for sending email), who process it only on our instructions.

How long we keep it

30 days after the event ends, we anonymize the event’s registrations: names, email addresses, tickets and anything else that identifies you are removed. What remains are counts and answers that cannot be traced back to you.

Your choices

You can cancel your registration from the event’s site at any time. To see, correct or delete what we hold about you, email privacy@digital-arts-and-sciences.com. For anything about the event itself, ask its organizer.
